What was your take-away?
I attended. I think the plans to move the library were not ideal. The traffic is so bad in that area now that people who live back behind So. Gwinnett and Hickory Hills will drive to Loganville and Conyers to avoid 124 North. The library is located in a lower traffic area now and if it needs expansion you certainly have room at the current location (up or to the side of current building) This smelled of make work thinking. It should not be on the second floor and certainly not if there will be any kind of cooking (fire safety) taking place on the floor below.
The traffic is bad now, hence the continuous flow lanes, that it makes my case against this idea. Why concentrate every business and development in one location. There is plenty of room down Lenora Church and towards Grayson to move in that direction. No more construction on 124 N. without additional roads.
Concerning uniform construction. Please have standardized signage and no neon lights outside the building. We do not want Memorial Drive in Snellville or more of what we have now on some of the older businesses.
