    2030 Comprehensive Plan Community Agenda 

    As part of the City of Snellville's 2030 Comprehensive Plan update, the Community Agenda component creates a road map of the community's vision for the future, which includes key issues and opportunities that were chosen during the planning process.  The information is then put into an implementation  program for achieving the vision and addressing the identified issues and opportunities.  The implementation program will include a Furture Land Use Plan to guide future development; a short-term work program, which is a list of goals/programs to accomplish in the next 5-years and the responsible party; and the development of local policies to achieve the community's vision.

    Following the Jan 22nd (2008) Planning Commission meeting, a public hearing by the Mayor and City Council is scheduled for Feb. 25th (2008).

    2030 Comprehensive Plan Transmittal

    Recommendation to the City Council on the transmittal of the City of Snellville 2030 Comprehensive Plan Community Agenda to the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) for regional and state review.  The Community Agenda is the third and final part of the draft 2030 Comprehensive Plan.  Before adoption later this year, the draft document will be submitted to the Atlanta regional Commission (ARC) who in turn will forward the document to the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) to review for consistency with state requirements.  After regional and state review, the plan will be revised as necessary and brought again before the Planning Commission and City Council for adoption.
