Construction Schedule and Known Details (updated Nov. 16, 2017) Pittman Construction will continue installing the drainage pipe from Henry Clower Boulevard to a drainage box located in front of Snellville United Methodist Church. Pittman will not install the drainage pipe across Highway 78 from the church toward the Bank of America at this time due to some minor utility conflicts. Pittman will install drainage pipe from the bank going west toward Snellville Plaza (Provino's) this is on the north side of Highway 78. Pittman will take off on Thursday for the Thanksgiving holidays and will resume work on Nov. 27, 2017. Traveling public is encouraged to use caution through the work zone. In July 2017, the Georgia Department of Transportation selected a contractor for the intersection improvements at Main Street (U.S. 78) and Scenic Highway (S.R. 124). The first phase is improvements to Henry Clower Boulevard at either end where Clower meets U.S. 78, and where Henry Clower Blvd. meets Scenic Highway. The second phase is all the improvements to the intersection of U.S. 78 and S.R. 124. The project is anticipated to take 18 to 24 months for completion.
