Property Tax

AS OF 2021, THE CITY OF SNELLVILLE WILL START HANDLING ALL PROPERTY TAX BILLING AND COLLECTIONS.  FOR ANY INFORMATION REGARDING TAXES BILLED AND COLLECTED FROM 2020 AND BACK YOU MUST CONTACT GWINNETT COUNTY TAX COMMISSIONER AT 770-822-8800.

The tax bills are expected to mailed on or about Sept. 15 of each tax year, and are due no later than Dec. 15.

This notice is mailed to the owner of record for this property as of Jan. 1 of the tax year billed. If a property sale or purchase occurred after Jan. 1, the property taxes may have been prorated during the real estate closing. For any questions regarding tax liability in a sale/purchase year, contact your closing attorney.

If you have an escrow account it is your responsibility to ensure the taxes are paid. No bills are mailed directly to mortgage companies.

Once the bills have gone out, payments can be made via mail, in person at City Hall, and online.
