Remember to put your garbage out everyday except: New Years Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas. If your pick up day falls on these holidays your garbage will be picked up the following day.
Reminder! All commercial, residential, and temporary construction services should be handled in the Public Works Department. This includes any temporary open top containers needed for home repairs or small business remodeling. The city is a franchised area and all collection is bid and awarded to a specific hauler. Services are set up by calling directly to the Public Works Department.

2008 Holiday Season: This year the City of Snellville Recycling Center will be closed Monday January 21 for Martin Luther King Day, Saturday May 3 for the Annual Snellville Days Festivities, Monday May 26 for Memorial Day, Friday and Saturday July 4 & 5 for Independence Day, Monday September 1 for Labor Day, Thursday November 27, Friday November 28 and Saturday November 29 for Thanksgiving, Wednesday December 24 and Thursday December 25 in observence of the Christmas Holiday and Thursday January 1 for News Years Day.

There are three main services maintained within this department, maintenance, recycling and sanitation. These services include making sure your roadways are maintained, recycling and garbage collection is efficient, drainage issues handled and overall upkeep of the city's buildings and vehicles. Maintenance The City of Snellville maintains streets, sidewalks, curbs and gutters located on city property or easements. The Public Works Department also has the duty of keeping the inside of city buildings clean, safe and functional. All service and repair is overseen in this department for city vehicles.
