2040 Comprehensive Plan The City of Snellville is seeking to create a flexible Comprehensive Plan to guide its decision-making in the coming years. The timing of this plan is important: the city has started to undergo a transformation from a traditional suburb to a more urbanized, walkable city. This plan must not only reflect the changes that are afoot, but guide the city in making this transition in a way that meets the needs of all of its residents, and set the city up for decades of prosperity and high quality of life for all residents. City leadership is interested in your insights. Join The Conversation. This planning process is intended to work hand-in-hand with the ongoing UDO (Unified Development Ordinance). The Comprehensive Plan is the policy guide for the UDO project. The Comprehensive Plan will inform the final drafting of the UDO. The Comprehensive Plan will be completed in five phases: Kick-Off and Assessment (April to June) Community Vision and Goals (May to July) Implementation Planning (June to September) LCI Update (August to October) Comprehensive Plan Finalization (August to December) The consultant and the city will conduct three on-the-spot community engagement events. These events are planned to take place throughout the summer. Early June at the Snellville Public Safety Night event on June 5. Mid July in several local popular shopping areas. Late August at the Farmers Market on Saturday morning. For more information, contact Public Information Officer Brian Arrington at firstname.lastname@example.org or 770-985-3517.
