Construction Schedule and Known Details (updated Jan. 11, 2019) Construction officials are confident they will have the project completed by the end of the year – possibly November 2019. Currently, construction crews are working on a wall at the intersection of Henry Clower Boulevard and Highway 124. They say they hope to have that portion completed by the end of the month. Sometime later in this month, crews plan to close the right turn lane on Highway 124 North at Highway 78 to do a slight traffic shift on 78. This will only affect the eastbound traffic on 78. Once that is done, crews will start the overhead structure/signal bridge construction at this location – the timetable for the start of the structure build looks like the first or second week of February. Crews are also getting the curb in along Highway 78 on the Snellville Plaza side once it dries up, then place asphalt at this location. Pedestrians and motorists should use caution while traveling or walking through the construction work zone. Check back regularly to learn the latest information on the construction.
