PARK MAINTENANCE CREW LEADER - Parks and Recreation Department
Minimum Starting Salary: $41,875 per year ($20.13hr)

DUTIES:
This is skilled work responsible for maintenance of the City’s parks, park facilities and recreational grounds. Work involves performing some heavy manual labor and operating a variety of landscape and mowing equipment and tools. Position duties require determining the necessary methods and materials necessary to use in performing daily tasks of grounds maintenance. Incumbent may supervise FT/PT employees and Community Service Workers while performing grounds maintenance duties. Some weekend and evening work required on an as needed basis for Park Special events. Position reports to the Park Maintenance Supervisor.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Horticulture experience and a general interest in the field is desired. Knowledge of the operation tools and equipment necessary for turf maintenance work. Ability to read and understand operating instructions. Ability to organize and plan daily, weekly, and seasonal maintenance activities. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and public. Lift up to 100 lbs., bend, squat, twist, crawl and climb on a daily basis. Work outside. Possess valid Georgia Driver's license and a good motor vehicle record.
HIRING PROCESS:
Will consist of an evaluation of prior education and work experience and an evaluation interview. Candidates must successfully complete a post-offer background screening, including criminal history, driving record, and employment verification. A post-offer, pre-employment drug screening is also required.
