Welcome to the Planning & Development Department
The Planning and Development Department is responsible for encouraging quality growth and development throughout the city while being mindful of preserving the character of our existing residential areas. This is achieved, in part, through the planning and permitting of Site, Building and Signage Plans. The Department also administers the application of Snellville's Land Use and Zoning Regulations, Occupational Tax (Business License) Issuance and Comprehensive and Long Range Planning. Quality of Life and Code Enforcement issues are also handled by the Department. Our staff works closely with citizens, local businesses and property owners, as well as city, county, state and federal officials to ensure a positive experience with our Department.
